Our client, a diversified Technology Company that changes how business, manage smallholder farmers, suppliers and clients through the effective use of mobile / web innovations is currently looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager with a strong Agribusiness background. He/she MUST have relevant experience selling solutions, natural sales person, a problem solver and passionate about what they do.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and implement Kenya’s sales strategy and plan.
• Achieve sales targets and key performance indicators.
• Identify and sell the company’s key products and services.
• Write proposals, reports with supporting literature to potential clients.
• Use client inputs to shape the company’s product strategy and roll out.
• Develop a pricing model in the Kenyan market.
• Oversee public relations and usage of social media.
• Work with strategic partners to increase market reach.
• Write and design sales literature and marketing materials.
• Deliver customer presentations articulately and confidently.
• Network with existing customers for up selling & product ideas.
• Respond to tender documents and requests for proposal.


• 8-10 years of sales and marketing experience (minimum of 3-4 years in a senior position).
• Background in agriculture (agribusiness preferable).
• Be creative and an out-of-the-box thinker.
• Be process driven: value KPIs, CRM, targets, reporting.
• Want to work in a business with strong social impact.
• Want to work in innovative technology companies.
• Be able to articulate client needs into product enhancements.
• Have a consultative approach to problem solving for clients.
• Born Net-worker and sales strategist.

Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 150,000 -  200,000/= (Approx. 1,500 – 2,000 USD)depending on experience
