Commercial Director

Our client that has developed and implemented a Modern Payment Platform in Kenya that is integrated through self-service kiosks and are able to accept payments for various kinds of services and provide convenience to customers as they pay for internet, satellite TV, airtime, utility payments etc is looking to fill the position of a Commercial Director for their offices based in Nairobi, Kenya. The successful candidate MUST be able to work in both B2B and B2C sectors and needs to be a self-starter who will work with current and potential partners on a daily basis, with accountability for leading business development and working with existing clients to grow their business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cooperate with service providers and must understand clients and user’s needs.
• Develop and implement Commercial strategies in order to accelerate Company’s growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Green House Technical Manager - Khartoum, Sudan.

Our client, the biggest Conglomerate in Sudan is looking to recruit a Green House Technical Manager for its operation in Sudan. The successful candidate MUST be an expert in horticulture, plant cultivation, pest and disease control and greenhouse technology. He/She will be responsible to plan, organize, direct, control, and coordinate activities of workers engaged in propagating, cultivating, and harvesting horticultural specialties such as mediterranean vegetables, salads and herbs.

Key Responsibilities;

• Position and regulate plant irrigation systems, and program environmental and irrigation control computers.
• Prepare soil for planting, and plant or transplant seeds, bulbs, and cuttings.
• Assign work schedules and duties of greenhouse staff, and supervise their work.
• Determine plant growing cycles and  conditions, such as, hydroponics, or natural settings.
• Set planting, care schedules and cultivation plans.
• Determine types and quantities of horticultural plants to be grown, based on budgets, projected sales volumes, and/or executive directives.

Qualifications;

• Bachelor of agriculture (engineering).

• Detailed up to date knowledge of appropriate technical discipline.

• Manage manufacturing projects, product transfer, domestically and internationally, capital investments and process improvements.
• Implement and drive Total Productive Maintenance Programme.
• Supervise the performance of staff by setting goals and objectives through regular performance evaluations.
• Communicate and support all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Must have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience working at management level.
• Must have a vast maintenance background and the ability to direct internal and contract service.
• Proven world class safety management and implementation experience is mandatory.
• Must have a working background in a manufacturing company.
• Must have experience working with an ERP System with an added advantage working with Oracle.
• Excellent business acumen with strong customer facing, commercial and financial skills.
• Must be a natural leader with excellent interpersonal skills.

Monthly gross salary: Rand. 55,000 - 58,333 (Approx. 3,500 - 3,742 USD) plus 10% bonus

Administration Manager

Our client a leading Supplier of Premium Home Furnishings and Accessories in Kenya is looking to recruit an Administration Manager. The ideal candidate MUST have experience working in the retail industry. Previous office admin/office manager experience is a MUST.

Key Responsibilities;

• Completes store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
• Maintains store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
• Maintains store staff job results by coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
• Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective actions.
• Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers.
• Ensures availability of merchandise and services by approving contracts; maintaining inventories.
• Formulates pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities; determining additional needed sales promotion; authorizing clearance sales; studying trends.
• Markets merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotion, and display plans; analysing operating and financial statements for profitability ratios.
• Secures merchandise by implementing security systems and measures.
• Protects employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment.
• Maintains the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements.
• Determines marketing strategy changes by reviewing operating and financial statements and departmental sales records.

Qualifications;

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree/diploma in a business related course.
• Must have at least 5 years of experience in an administrative role.
• A highly organized individual able to multitask with ease.
• Excellent command of English and a clear communicator.
• Should have strong staff management/supervisory skills
• An eye for detail and the ability to manage with minimal supervision is key.
• Strong Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook and report writing skills are essential.
• Basic IT skills as well as basic accounting skills would be an added advantage.
• A class E driver’s license would be an added advantage.

Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 60,000 - 75,000/= (Approx. 600 - 750 USD) depending on experience
