Restaurant General Manager - Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

A fast-growing Restaurant Company, is looking for a Restaurant GM to run one of their newly opened Fine Dining restaurants in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will be responsible to manage and direct all aspects of the restaurant operations and make sure that the guests are served exceptional food at all times. The candidate MUST be energetic, full of ideas, enthusiastic and someone that wants to play a crucial role in the development and guidance of this brand new Restaurant.

Key Responsibilities;

• Responsible for the overall vision and business plan of the restaurant.
• To develop and hone positive relationship with local business and regular customers.
• To help develop and to ensure that all marketing plans are executed.
• Personally greet and/or seat the restaurants guests on a daily basis.
• Take responsibility of all aspects of operations and service standards.
• To create a comprehensive training program for all employees and managers.
• To create schedules and hire staff.
• Take responsibility for creating and administering the restaurants budget.
• To control costs, regulate sales and maintain profitability standards.
• Work closely with Executive Chef on menus, wine lists and guest feedback.
• Work with stock keepers and departments on inventory supplies.

Qualifications/skills;

• Minimum education of Bachelor degree or Diploma in Restaurant Management or relevant discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of Management experience in the restaurant industry.
• A passion for good food and wine.
• Previous Management proficiency in high volume retail with P&L accountability.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Have excellent English communication skills both written and spoken.
• Posses professional disposition with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Computer literate.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.

Monthly Gross Salary: Ksh. 200,000 - 300,000/= + other benefits (Approx. 2,000 - 3,000 USD) depending on experience
