The dedicated resource is requested to effectively deliver Finance Systems obligations which include but not limited to Supporting Botswana and Angola and in Finance systems queries, automations, mappings, training, DA updates, projects and group regulatory reporting.
He/she will also be responsible with service management calls and production of country dashboards.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
  • Ensure data integrity in IDS for the assigned countries by performing daily integrity checks, correction of static and balance data and escalating complex issues to PSS and follow up to resolution.
  • Ensuring SLA between AFS and the countries are met
  • Documentation and updating of DOIs and Process flows for all Finance Information Systems.
  • Collecting, consolidating and documenting user requirements and specifications in liaison with Finance Senior Business Analyst.
  • Raising Change Requests to Chennai ISCI Application support team for implementation.
  • First level support in IDS and all related gateways and office applications.
  • First level support for Finance systems and applications including IDS, PSGL, PSFCS amongst others.
  • Assist Finance users in coming up with innovative utilization of I.T. solutions to improve the effectiveness and efficiency in the delivery of hub and spoke operations and business MIS.
  • Improve the turnaround time on system errors and issues resolution.
  • Tracking and coordination of Finance user problems including logging them with Chennai ITSC West.
  • Formulate test cases and coordinate user testing in liaison with TSS for systems that impact Finance.
  • Maintain a standard platform for financial systems across Africa.
  • Ad hoc queries for Finance users.
  • Attending SMC calls, collating and follow up of issues to closure
  • Ensure Systems Security & Access control in line with SCB Group standards for IDS.
  • Management of Interfaces between Finance systems and other group software.
  • Providing finance systems training.
  • Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) for finance systems.
  • Monitoring and maintenance of a healthy business environment through strict compliance with Operational
  • Risk Management Assurance Framework (ORMAF) as defined by the Group and Local Regulatory Authorities in relation to Finance systems and applications.

Qualifications & Skills 

  • University Degree in a Computer Science/Telecommunications or equivalent
  • At least 3 years hands on experience in a busy IS/IT department within a commercial business environment.
  • Experience in support of ERPs and Data warehouse administration
  • Group I.T. statements of best practice.
  • In-depth Knowledge of automated operation techniques and products.
  • Programming skills using Visual basic, VBA, Access, SQL etc
  • Basic understanding of accounting
  • Thorough understanding of the Systems Development Life Cycle.
  • Knowledge of numerous office automation software and products.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Experience in handling projects
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good team working and motivation skills to achieve superior performance
