ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (KENYAN JOBS AND JOBS IN KENYA OCTOBER 2013)

Title: Administrative Assistant

  • Position Summary
    IBTCI is currently looking for a dedicated Administrative Assistant to support a five-year project with USAID/Kenya and USAID/East Africa for Evaluation Services and Program Support of the health programs in the region. The Administrative Assistant will be hired for the duration of the project and will be based in Nairobi and is open to permanent residents of Kenya only.

    Responsibilities:
    The Administrative Assistant will perform a full range of administrative functions and will be responsible for ensuring that any administrative issues related to the project are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.

    The Administrative Assistant will perform the following duties, responsibilities, and activities which include but are not limited to:
  • Maintaining databases and monitoring spreadsheets, and project files.
  • Assisting in preparations for meetings (developing agendas, preparing and distributing materials, scheduling and drafting minutes).
  • Drafting letters and managing office correspondence.
  • Providing phone support.
  • Arranging business travel.
  • Coordinating printing, mailing, photocopying and general administrative support.


    Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2-3 years of administrative experience. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in office software applications (particularly Microsoft Office Suites, including Excel and Access).
  • Excellent organizational, written and spoken communication skills.
  • Previous experience with USAID-funded project preferred
