Organizational Background:

The World Food Programme Somalia activities include food assistance for relief, emergency school feeding, nutrition and food
assistance for assets creation through provision of in-kind and cash-based transfers.
This position is open to qualified Somali candidates only. Female candidates in particular, are encouraged to apply.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of the Logistics Officer and overall supervision of the Head of Area Office, the incumbent will be responsible
for the following duties:
 Act as the cash and voucher focal point responsible for pre-selection of retailers, conducting reconciliations, creating Service
Entry Sheets, tracking retailer invoices etc;
 Act as the Cash Based Transfer (CBT) focal person and respond to queries regarding retailers and CBT logistics related issues;
 Monitor and follow up the movement of food and non-food items;
 Monitor market prices, check availability of commodities, food quality, food expiry dates and general hygiene at traders shops;
 Train retailers on the use of Point of Sale (POs) machines and when and how to submit invoices;
 Prepare Area Office weekly and monthly reports;
 Process retailers weekly and monthly payments;
 Conduct oversight missions to retailers to ensure they are in compliant in-line with the contract and report accordingly;
 Liaise with various departments on matters pertaining to CBT and SCOPE;
 Liaise with the programme unit if there are any expiring funds and take appropriate action;
 Ensure Purchase Order Cash for Beneficiaries (POCBs) are utilized in the exact time frame given;
 Provide support to logistics operations and activities to ensure effective delivery of food assistance to beneficiaries;
 Monitor the performance of vendors;
 Support operational planning during food dispatches from the warehouse and vessel arrivals at Bosaso seaport;
 Process documentation for execution of logistics operations and take appropriate actions to resolve operational issues and
escalate problems as appropriate;
 Perform other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Completion of secondary school education, preferably supplemented by technical or university courses in logistics.
Experience: At least five years of progressively responsible job related work experience in logistics, transport, supply chain,
contracts administration or other related field. Experience maintaining corporate systems and running queries on
ongoing shipments, pipeline information, administering third party service providers’ contracts, compiling contract
documentation, contract execution, and budget monitoring and reporting is desirable.
Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Somali is a requirement.
Knowledge: Experience utilizing computers, including word processing, spreadsheet and other standard software packages and
systems. General knowledge of UN system administrative policies, rules, regulations and procedures in the area of
work would be an added advantage.

The preferred candidate MUST have prior work experience in client relationship management and provide the platform and guidance to the client relationship team to achieve the highest possible service to the customers.

·         Manage the day to day functions of the Client Relationship Officers & Assistant Client Relationship Officers.
·         Manage the client distribution.
·         Develop strong internal policies and procedure between the client relationship and operations departments.
·         Driving creative problem-solving initiatives throughout all the client relationship functions.
·         Harmonize & Implement the company’s systems solutions to drive efficiency into the CR functions.
·         Liaise with the Operations Manager to co-ordinate and streamline all operations.

Qualifications;

·         Must have a Bachelors degree in Operations or Supply Chain management or related field.
·         Must have above 7 years experience working in the customs clearing and freight forwarding industry.
·         Must have proven managerial skills.
·         Must have prior experience in operational customer relations.
·         Proficiency in computer packages.
·         Must have an analytical mindset and able to cope with pressure and deadlines.
·         Excellent written and spoken English.

Monthly Gross Salary:  Ksh 250,000 /= (Approx. 2,500 USD)

Store keeper –Naivasha, Kenya

Our client, a leader in the Agricultural sector in Africa whose prime focus is on serving the agricultural sector with mechanical and chemical products is looking to fill the position of a Store Keeper for their office based in Naivasha, Kenya.
 Key Responsibilities:
·         Receive and inspect items’ quality and quantity against freight documents & purchasing orders.
·         Store received goods in storerooms according to the prescribed & applied inventory system standards.
·         Transfer spare parts and other items to other branches and warehouses upon their requests.
·         Make relevant entries on computerized inventory system accompanying all stock entry & exit operations.
·         Properly wrap and pack all outgoing goods and release them along with all required documents.
·         Prepare invoices, packing lists and any other freight documents.
·         Conduct regular physical inventory checks to the warehouse.
·         Properly maintain all stock and other apparatuses.

Qualifications:

Procurement & Sourcing Manager


Our client, who imports and distributes supplements, is looking to recruit a Procurement & Sourcing Manager to be based in Nairobi, Kenya. The ideal candidate MUST have over 5 years experience in handling technicalities of international and local haulage/transportation. He/She MUST be conversant with knowledge of international commerce, finance and import/export laws in the FMCG industry.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Handle details relating to possibly international transportation and any necessary documentation.
·         Execute strategic and tactical sourcing for inventory as set out in the company programme.
·         Monitoring, the inventory codes of all products in the shipment.
·         Ensure proper pricing and distribution once the goods land.
·         Evaluate the markets and sources of supply across the globe.
·         Provide reporting and diagnostics on areas of sourcing, supply and spend as required.

·         Must be a member of the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM).
·         Must have a CIPS qualification.
·         Strong communication skills.
·         Computer literate.
·         Excellent written and spoken English.

Head of Stores

A diversified Horticultural Company based in Nairobi with 4 farms in the outskirts of Nairobi is seeking to recruit Head of Stores to be based in their Nairobi office. The ideal candidate must have experience stock control.

Key Responsibilities:

• To receive, confirm and document of all goods in.
• Raise GRN and attach/verify items.
• To prepare, verify and load all goods out and raise the D/Note.
• Verify, check and receive GRN form for reconciliation.
• Ensure safe storage of goods.
• Maintaining bin cards and reporting accurate stocks weekly.
• Supervise cleaning of stores and ensuring that items are well stack.
• Monthly reconciliation of stocks.
• Periodic visits to the farms for stock take and conducting impromptu audits.
• Subsequently generating reports.
• Drivers’ coordination.
• Sorting old spare parts received ,dispatch new spare parts.
• Follow weekly routine checks on H.O vehicles.
• Make sure H.O vehicles are always kept clean both inside and outside.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Purchasing and Supplies or related field.

Project Cost Analyst


Our client, a leading Logistics Provider in East Africa is seeking to recruit a Project Cost Analyst to be based in Nairobi. The preferred candidates MUST have prior work experience in pricing logistics, clearing and forwarding projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support business development team with accurate and commercially viable project costing.
• Help business development managers determine the requirements of their clients.
• Advice on the design and related cost implications of clearing and transport projects.
• Understanding any changes in the cost to company of component parts of the services provided.
• Tender/proposal development.
• Design rate sheets accordingly.
• Understanding the cost base of the clearing and forwarding process.
• Understanding the prevailing market rates and be able to benchmark company rates against the market.

Qualifications:
