Call Centre Manager


Our client, a leading Micro-Finance Company based in Nairobi that offers personal loan to permanently employed Civil servants is seeking to recruit a Call Centre Manager who will be responsible for the development, management and growth of Call centre. The successful candidate MUST have 5 years management experience within a Call centre.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organizing business and team activities to ensure that the short and medium term agreed operational targets are met
• Ensuring that monthly sales targets for all call centers are set on time and communicated to all agents
• Monitoring the results of all call centers on daily basis
• Ensuring timely daily activations on all deals
• Ensuring that all declined deals are reviewed before clients are notified
• Reviewing and re-designing the process workflows to support business growth
• Ensuring quality on all deals processed in line with the credit policy
• Ensuring  that all fraud or suspected fraud cases are managed according to company policies

• Ensuring suitable and trained staff on Call Center platform and customer care related skills
• Reviewing monthly arrears and proactively follow up with the findings to ensure maximum collections in line with targets
• Enhancing customer satisfaction, mitigate risks and reducing operational errors within all call centers
• Providing quality assurance reviews and monitoring adherence to the call center policies and processes
• Ensuring that daily and monthly reports are prepared accurately and timely for Call Centers

Qualifications:

• A Bachelors’ Degree is a relevant field.
• Must have excellent knowledge of IT systems including call center solutions.
• Must have experience in running an Avaya Call Centre.
• Must have 5 years Management experience within a Call Center.
Must have relevant experience working in the banking, telecommunication and Micro-finance industry.

Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 140,000 - 180,000/= (Approx. 1,400 – 1,800 USD)

Collection Manager

Our client, a leading Micro-Finance Company based in Nairobi that offers personal loan to permanently employ Civil servants is seeking to recruit a Collection Manager. The Commercial Manager will be responsible for overseeing the collection of all off – payroll collections. The successful candidate MUST have knowledge of debt collection laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head of Collections to design policies, processes and procedures to ensure efficient and effective off-payroll collections.
• Direct debit and standing order deductions through the various banks and ACH deductions.
• Handle Mpesa and Post-dated cheque payments/collections through the various banks and ACH deductions.
• Dealing with all issues affecting third party deductions.
• All direct debit, post-dated cheques and standing order submission to banks.
• All issues affecting deductions in the various markets including banks.
• Listing clients at Credit Reference Bureau or legal demand procedures in the case of a default.
• Maintenance of an excellent filling system and database.
• Management of shared call centre collections resource in order to retrieve payments.
• Daily, weekly and monthly reporting on off-payroll collections performance to executives and senior management.
• Analyze arrears based on aging and prescribe appropriate actions to retrieve all arrears from non-performing clients.
• Undertake any additional duties that may be prescribed by the Head of Collections.

Qualifications:

• At least 4 years’ experience a financial institution (an insurance institution is advantageous) holding a similar position.
• Degree in Business Management or related field.
Must be a CPA (K).
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills, ability to think out of the box and the flexibility to interact with all levels of personnel.
• Must be familiar with setting off-payroll policies and must have successfully implemented off-payroll policies with tangible results
• Must be multitask oriented, organized, set priorities and meet deadlines and take pride in one’s work.
• Must have experience in supervisory/management responsibilities on Collections related projects.

Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 100,000 - 150,000/= (Approx. 1,000 - 1,500 USD) depending on skills and experience

Finance & Investor Relations Manager



Our client, a dynamic Investment Company which provides equity to high growth businesses in East Africa is looking for a Finance & Investor Relations Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the investment professionals and communicating with the investors in the funds by providing them with timely and accurate reports.

Key Responsibilities:

Debt Recovery Manager

Job Summary: Working closely with the Head of Credit, he /she will ensure compliance with internal credit policies and procedures, best practices and CBK prudential guidelines to facilitate management of credit risks within tolerable levels. 

The Job holder will execute the institution’s strategy in reducing the NPA portfolio as per laid out guidelines in the institution’s credit policy. 

He/ She will ensure that ALL approved and disbursed loans are fully repaid as stipulated in the terms and conditions to prevent loss to the institution due to non-repayments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project relevant trends that affect the collectibles of the portfolio and isolate potential problem areas
  • Monitor loan repayments globally and initiate/recommend course of action
  • Instruct and follow up with external service providers on NPA matters i.e. debt collectors, auctioneers etc.
  • Extract, confirm and transmit CRB information to licensed Credit Reference Bureau
  • Conduct client visits (on a need basis) and make telephone calls to follow up on payments from NPA debtors
  • Report on NPAs (Write offs, Collections, Security Cover etc.) on a regular predetermined basis and provide information for CBK reporting
  • Ensure one day arrears management for all disbursed loans is fully executed
  • Ensure a record is maintained to track recovery progress for all loans in arrears
  • Ensure weekly arrears and reports are prepared for all the branches and follow with them to ensure full repayment
  • Ensure demand letters are prepared and ensure that they are forwarded to the defaulting customers
  • Ensure reports are prepared and recommendations made on bad debts to be written-off to the management for approval
  • Ensure an up to date register on loan related insurance claims is maintained and ensure prompt reimbursement from underwriters
  • Monitor debt collection response cycles and contacts as well as credit control performance
  • Manage resource scheduling and the determination of priority of work and procedures to maximize production output and success levels.
  • Report and monitor all risks associated with debt recovery
  • Generate compliance reports for use in decision making and performance appraisals

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategies for investment of surplus funds in treasury bills, bonds and other money market instruments

Chief Executive Officer (1 Post), Branch Manager (2 Posts)

Universal Traders SACCO (UTS) is dully licensed deposit taking Sacco under the regulations of SACCO societies Act 2010 and has its major operations in the larger eastern region. UTS began its operations in 1997 and has since grown to be a financial service provider of choice in the region. 

To date, Membership to the SACCO is diverse and incorporates traders, farmers, civil servants, membership groups and associations. We are looking for focused, dynamic and experienced individuals to fill the following positions:
 
Chief Executive Officer 
(1 Post)
 
The person will be responsible for the day to day Management of the Society’s Operations. 

In addition he/she is expected to give advice to the Board of Directors on various policy matters as well as managing the staff within the Society.
  • Interpreting and implementing the decisions of the Board;
  • Ensuring effective management of the Sacco’s business in the best interest of the Sacco and other stakeholders;
  • Ensuring development and implementation of strategic and business plans;
  • Overseeing the development of operational plans and budget for approval by the Board;
  • Ensuring compliance with the laws of the country;
  • Overseeing the development of various Sacco policies.
  • Ensuring there is effective communication between the management and the Board;
  • Acting as the principal spokesperson of the Sacco;
  • Participating in the Board of Director’s meetings and Executive Committee meetings;
  • Responsible for the security of funds and assets of the Sacco;
  • Performing any other lawful duties as may be assigned by the BOD

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business related course from a recognized University 
  • Be a Certified Public Accountant CPA(K) holder
  • MBA Qualification will be an added advantage
  • Have at least 5 years practical experience in a busy financial institution with 2 of these being in a Senior Management Position
  • 30 – 40 years age.
Branch Manager
(2 Posts)

The branch Manager shall be reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and is generally responsible for coordinating day to day branch operations and business growth at the Branch.

Main Duties :-
  • Manage branch performance against agreed targets and budgets, and within policies and standards and in line with the Sacco`s strategic objectives.
  • Establish and oversee the implementation of sound financial management systems in liaison with the Head of Branches and Finance.
  • Manage the branch loan portfolio in accordance with the Society credit policy and procedures.

  • Bachelors’ degree in Business Related Field from a recognized university
  • CPA II/ACCA or equivalent
  • 3 years’ experience in a similar position in a financial institution or equivalent
  • Age: 28 – 35 Years.
