Fleet and Workshop Manager

A diversified Horticultural Company based in Nairobi, Kenya with 4 farms in the outskirts of Nairobi is seeking to recruit a Fleet and Workshop Manager. The successful candidate MUST have relevant fleet and workshop management experience. He / she should be Gujarati/Punjabi/Hindi speaking.

Key Responsibilities; 

• In-charge of maintaining the company fleet of vehicles.
• Keep timeliness schedule on the service and maintenance of equipment in his care.
• Advise management on key areas of maintenance.
• Ensure machinery and motor vehicles are all in sound mechanical condition.
• Monitor machinery and motor vehicle usage by the respective operators.
• Ensure asset management.
• Monitor vehicle movements and fuel control.
• Handling workshop staff.
• Maintain staff discipline and welfare in accordance with the company policy.
• Accurate record keeping.
• Maintain stock sheets for all workshop consumables.
• Maintain standard measures of health and safety among the staff.

Qualifications;

• Must have 10 years plus work experience in transport.
• Must be a Kenyan citizen.
• Must be able to speak Gujarati/ Hindu / Punjabi.
• A relevant degree from a recognized institution.
• A clean and valid driving license.
• Must have solid and proven transport background.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Computer literate.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Must be willing to travel.

Monthly gross salary: Ksh.  150,000 /= (Approx. 1,500 USD) depending on experience

Key responsibilities:

• Developing and sustaining a targeted long-term business strategy.

• Must have start-up business experience.
• Technical skills in supply chain and logistics IT solutions.

Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 350,000 -  500,000/= (Approx. 3,500 - 5,000 USD)depending on experience
