General Manager

A diversified horticultural Company based in Nairobi is seeking to recruit a General Manager. The ideal candidate must have over 10 years working experience, with excellent experience in Sales and financial planning and must have excellent horticulture knowledge in East Africa

Key Responsibilities:

• Management of all sales accounts aiming to increase sales turnover with all existing clients.
• Maintain awareness of the competitive landscape, opportunities for expansion, customers, markets and new sector developments in the horticulture industry.
• Manage overall costs of production.
• Calculate financial benefit of the Company’s products vs. traditional farming methods and competitors’ products.
• A good understanding of the agricultural legislation in East Africa.
• Fairtrade development and improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in  the relevant field (MSC a plus)
• Must have agriculture knowledge in East Africa
• Must be a self-starter - able to work independently, as well as in team
• Must be culturally flexible
• Must have experience in agriculture/horticulture.

Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 500,000/= – 1,000,000/= (Approx. 5000 – 10,000 USD) depending on experience and qualifications.
