Transport and Workshop Manager

A Diversified Horticultural Company based in Nairobi, Kenya with 4 farms in the outskirts of Nairobi is seeking to recruit a Transport and Workshop Manager. The successful candidate MUST have relevant transport experience. He/she MUST be willing to work Monday to Saturday.  

Key Responsibilities; 

• In-charge of maintaining the company fleet of vehicles.
• Keep the timeliness schedule for the service and maintenance of equipment in his car.
• Advise management on key areas of maintenance.
• Ensure machinery and motor vehicles are all in sound mechanical condition.
• Monitor machinery and motor vehicle usage by the respective operators.
• Ensure asset management.
• Monitor vehicle movements and fuel control.
• Handling workshop staff.
• Maintain staff discipline and welfare in accordance with the company policy.
• Accurate record keeping.
• Maintain stock sheets for all workshop consumables.
• Maintain standard measures of health and safety among the staff.

Qualifications;

• Must have 10 years plus work experience in transport.
• A relevant degree from a recognized institution.
• Must be willing to work Monday to Saturday.  
• A clean and valid driving license.
• Must have solid and proven transport background.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Computer literate.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Must be willing to travel.

Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 150,000/= (Approx. 1,500 USD)
