Horticultural Commercial Manager

A Diversified Horticultural Company based in Nairobi with 4 farms in the outskirts of Nairobi is seeking to recruit a Horticultural Commercial Manager to be based in their Nairobi office with regular farm visits. The ideal candidates MUST have experience managing a sales team, prior agriculture/horticulture experience and aware the key responsibility for the role would be to manage sales of rose for the international market.

Key Responsibilities;

• Develop new direct markets.
• Responsible for our development and execution of our marketing strategy.
• Compiling and analysing sales figures.
• Provides information by collecting, analysing, and summarizing data and trends.
• Meets marketing and sales, financial objectives by forecasting requirements.
• Managing shows and exhibitions.
• Initiate and develop a strong relationship with customers.
• Manage overall costs of production via G.M. Roses.
• Provide guidance on operations and overall management to senior management at the farm level and packhouse level.

Qualifications;

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field.
• Must have 8 years experience with 3 years experience in senior management.
• Must be willing to work Monday to Saturday.
• Must have experience in agriculture/horticulture.
• Must have an appreciate for commercial negotiations.
• Must be willing to travel regularly.

Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 230,000 - 250,000/= (Approx. 2,300 - 2,500 USD) depending on experience
