Cinema Manager

Our client, an International Cinema Company, is looking for a Cinema Manager for its new Cinema in Nairobi. He/she will provide the leadership and operational direction to the cinematic team at the appointed cinema/s as well as support expansion both in existing and new cinema projects.

Key Responsibilities;

• To support the company’s business expansion and growth across the region.
• Responsible for establishing and maintaining positive and productive relationships with the industry and industry representatives, municipality and government offices.
• Be a visible, reliable leader within the operations function internally and externally.
• Lead the cinema management team/s by example.  Develop, empower and motivate the team to meet the company’s goals.
• Support recruitment strategies and receive the training, support and development to ensure that the employees gain the skills to succeed within the function.
• Monitor revenue activity reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining operation’s objectives and develop strategies.
• Monitor the facility and equipment through audits, asset registers and periodic services.
• Support the technical team throughout installations at new and upgraded cinema locations.
• Support activities that promote alternative content and use of cinema facilities.
• Commit to film programming by ensuring that details are correct including pricing and schedule.
• Ensure the cinema’s compliance with all contracts, legal agreements and the proper execution of all municipal and government requirements.

Qualification;

• Graduate in any discipline is preferred.
• A minimum of 5+years relevant, demonstrated experience and proven track record in Cinema, F&B or leisure & entertainment similar industry in a management role.
• Strong communication skills in English
• Interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Good financial, risk management and legal acumen.
• Financial reporting skills.
• Fluent spoken and written Arabic is preferable.


Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 300,000/= negotiable (Approx. 3,000 USD)
