Purchasing Officer

Our client, a dynamic Flower Farm based in Kikuyu is looking to recruit a Purchasing Officer. The successful candidate MUST have relevant experience working in agriculture or FMCG manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop, lead & execute procurement strategies.
• Track & report key functional metrics to reduces expenses & improve effectiveness.
• Forecast price & market trends to identify changes of balance in buyers.
• Craft negotiation strategies & close deals with optimal terms.
• Verifies purchase requisitions.
• Forward available inventory items by verifying stock.
• Prepare purchase orders.
• Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered.
• Do purchasing planning.
• Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.
• Seek & partner with reliable venders.

Qualification:

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in procurements & logistics.
• Candidates with CIPS will have an added advantage.
• Must be willing to work Monday to Saturday.
• Must have excellent analytic & negotiating skills.
• Must be mature with excellent experience in the flower industry.
• Should be familiar with sourcing and vendor management.

Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 60,000 - 80,000/= (Approx. 600 - 800 USD) depending on skills & experience
