Senior Development Engineer – Nairobi

Our client based in the heart of Nairobi’s tech community is looking for a Senior Development Engineer to help deliver their leading Software Solutions in the Fintech and Cloud Mobility space.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has a real passion for Software Development as you will be joining an environment that will allow you to use your creative and technical abilities to the maximum potential.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of five-year experience in Object-oriented application design and development. You will also be an individual who can utilise the best development principles in multiple platforms (browser, tablet, mobile) to create and enhance products that can make a lasting impression in the market. 

Key Responsibilities:

• ·         Design, code and deliver products under PHP, JavaScript, Python, HTML5 and CSS3 languages.
• ·         Diagnose and resolve complex issues and have experience leveraging continuous test and automation frameworks
• ·         Delivering high-quality products on time while working independent or in Agile/Scrum cycle methodologies.
• ·         Understanding of relational databases, proficient working in Linux environments and closely engage with GIT.
• ·         Influence and collaborate with other work teams across departments
• ·          MUST demonstrate excellent communication skills.

Qualification:

• ·         Must have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or relevant field.
• ·         Senior Development Engineer candidate MUST have deep design, excellent coding and delivery experience of products under PHP, JavaScript, Python and HTML5 CSS3.
• ·         Experience building and leveraging applications in Laravel
• ·         Experience building and testing modules for 24/7 stability.
• ·         Excellent communication and organization skills.

Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 120,000 - 180,000/= (Approx.1,200 - 1,800 USD) plus benefits
