Bar Manager - 5 star Hotel

Our client, a prestigious International Luxury Hotel company, in Nairobi is looking for a Bar Manager. The successful candidate will be in charge of the smooth running of the bar and maintain guest service & F&B standards. He/she MUST have previous experience in upmarket bars. International experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• The administration, service and bar operation, of the outlet assigned.
• Guiding Bar personnel in the performance of their duties and responsibilities.
• Directing all efforts in the Bar to achieve the financial goals of the outlet.
• Following up the implementation of the Policies and Procedures in operating the Bar.
• Checking the sufficiency of operating equipment and supplies for the Bar.
• Maintaining the sanitation standards in the outlet.
• Providing functional assistance to the staff during peak periods.
• Scheduling sufficient manpower in the outlet to suit volume of business.
• Maintaining a clean and wholesome ambiance in the outlet.
• Maximizing revenue and profit of the bar.
• Follow trend and market needs.

Qualifications:

• Minimum education of bachelor degree in hotel management.
• Minimum of 3 - 4 years’ experience working in an upmarket bar.
• Good knowledge in beverage products and high end service levels.
• Computer literate.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Excellent English communication skills both written and spoken.
• Possess professional disposition with excellent interpersonal skills.

Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 100,000 - 120,000/= (Approx.  1,111 – 1,333 USD)depending on experience
