Lending Officer - Africa

Our client, an Agricultural Financial Lending company based in Nairobi is looking   to fill the position of a Lending Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for growth of new business in the region. He / she MUST have prior working experience in a lending environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the regional manager in managing the teams expenditure.
• Maintain accurate, well organised records using the agreed systems.
• Submit all expense claims promptly and manage the expenses.
• Carry out business development within the region.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key networks and social lenders.
• Communicate regularly with the African staff to ensure great work flow.
• Credit appraisal of customers.
• Provide sound business analysis.

Qualifications:

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in economics or commerce.
• Must have a minimum of 3 years working experience in the agriculture industry.
• Must have excellent customer relationship management skills.
• Must have worked with an SME / Co-operatives.
• Must have experience in developing and maximising partnerships.
• Possess a valid driving license.
• Must be computer literate.
• Must have good written and spoken English.
• Willingness and ability to travel widely within the region and overseas.
• Fluency in French is an added advantage.


Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 200,000 - 230,000/= (Approx. 2,222 - 2,555 USD) depending on experience
