Marketing Manager - Safari Company

Our client, a luxury Safari Company, is looking for a Marketing Manager for their office in Nairobi. The successful candidate must have at least 5 years of experience in the luxury safari industry with experience not only in Marketing, but also in Reservations. Must be creative, outgoing and with excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise the reservations department
• Set up and implement marketing strategy.
• Plan and organize all trade shows.
• Set up and implement marketing system.
• Implement and update the social media and website strategy.
• Lead weekly Nairobi office coordination meetings.
• Develop and maintain all marketing materials.
• Agree with directors on PR and market representation services overseas.
• Prepare for at least two marketing trips per year.
• Quarterly promotion via an e-newsletter to all wholesale agents, clients & relevant media contacts.
• Maintain and supervise agent, ground handler, media and client databases.
• Ensure representation and membership in relevant industry bodies such as ATTA, KATO, KTF, etc.
Qualifications:
• Must have a marketing related degree or higher education qualification.
• At least 5 years of international experience in a marketing role in the luxury safari industry.
• Must be computer literate – Microsoft office & Adobe.
• Must have a passion for safari, upmarket travel & wildlife
• Excellent communication & organizational skills.
• Excellent written and oral English
• Admin & numeracy skills.
• Creative.
Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 250,000 /= (Approx. 2,631 USD)
