Senior Procurement Officer – CAPEX, Projects and Services

 Our client, a well established FMCG company based in Nairobi is looking for a Senior Procurement Officer – CAPEX, Projects and Services. He/she shall be responsible for managing the procurement process of materials and goods.

Key Responsibilities;

• Assure availability of CAPEX, projects and services requirements with the right quality, cost and risk.
• Effective risk management and governance of CAPEX, projects and services suppliers.
• Effective cost management on CAPEX, projects and services procurement.
• Build key relationship for value with CAPEX, projects and services suppliers.
• Focus on innovation and deliver innovative ideas aimed at step changing the purchasing process.
• Sustainable procurement practice.
• Ensuring competitive procurement of CAPEX, projects and services requirements in the organization
• Participating in negotiations with CAPEX, projects and services suppliers on existing and new engagements.
• Implementing CAPEX, projects and services procurement innovation initiatives.
• Implementing of procurement strategy, policy and structure.
• Conducting annual procurement planning for CAPEX, projects and services.
• Identifying qualified CAPEX, projects and services suppliers, sending RFQ, analyzing the responses and placing purchase orders for approval.
• Managing tendering process for CAPEX, projects and services requirements.

Qualification;

• Must have a business degree graduate in purchasing and supplies management.
• Post graduate Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies preferably C.I.P.S.
• Basic accounting qualifications will be an added advantage.
• KSCE minimum of B (plain).
• Must have over 3 years experience in a busy procurement environment preferably FMCG.
• Must have CAPEX, projects and services procurement experience is highly desired.
• Excellent negotiation and deal closing skills.
• Experience in developing and maintaining supplier relations.
• Must have operations / materials procurement experience.

Monthly gross salary: Ksh.100,000 - 150,000/= (Approx. 1,000 - 1,500 USD)depending on experience & qualification
