Maintenance Manager

An international Hotel Chain in Westland’s is seeking a Maintenance Manager. He/ she will be responsible for the general upkeep of the hotel facilities, the common areas bar and the restaurant. The successful candidate must have a minimum of 2 years experience in the hospitality environment on a management level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Co-ordinate and control functions of a fully-fledged maintenance department.
• To ensure the provision of cost effective maintenance services to the premises and utilities.
• Maintenance management - achieve high facilities availability and optimal maintenance status.
• Manage and supervise maintenance contractors.
• Develop and Implement planned maintenance program
• Writing reports, maintaining documentation and providing feedback to the Management.
• Maintaining thorough understanding of relevant international standards and regulations.
• Oversee work and manage performance and development of Technical Team.
• Inspect the buildings and to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed repair.
• Make notes and recommendations using a pre‐established check sheet.

Qualification:

• Minimum diploma in MEP Engineering / Facility management.
• Minimum of 5 years working experience with a minimum of 2 years within the hospitality environment.
• Must be equally experienced in managing outsourced teams and maintaining MEP systems.
• Knowledgeable on OSHA.
• Good people management skills.
• Ability to deliver training at all levels.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Excellent reporting, analysis and numeracy skills.
• Focused, able to meet deadlines and flexible with the ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Positive attitude towards challenges and a passion for the leisure industry.

Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 120,000 /= (Approx. 1,200 USD)
