Human Resource Manager – Maasai Mara, Kenya

Our client, a high-end luxury Safari Lodge, is looking for a vibrant, motivated Human Resource Manager, for their property in the Mara. The successful candidate will provide HR support to the business and ensure staffs are informed on HR policies and procedures. The candidate also needs to have the ability to facilitate effective working relationships across the company.  He / She must be willing to live in the Maasai Mara.

Key Responsibilities; 

• Maintain staff records i.e. payroll, benefits, medical scheme, pension and leave cycles.
• Assist the management with the implementation of all labour laws and practices in Kenya.
• Manage grievances and implement disciplinary procedures.
• Strategize immediate and long-term staff requirement with the head of departments.
• Plan staff training, induction for new staff and analysing staff needs with HODs.
• Protecting confidential information and staff privacy.
• Promote equality and diversity as part of the organizations culture.
• Assist the management to understand and implement policies and procedures.
• Carry out the recruitment of staff from preparing the job description to selection of candidates.
• Facilitate relations with staff and management if needed.
• Encourage and promote camaraderie among staff.
• Protect guests' privacy.
• Develop and implement policies by liaising with people involved in policy areas.

Qualification;

• A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource or similar.
• In depth understanding of labour laws.
• Computer skills – HRMIS.
• Leadership skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 60,000 /= (Approx.600 USD)
