Administrative Accountant

Monte Bello Wines ltd, a wine importing and distribution company invites applications for the position of Administrative Accountant 

Location: Karen, Nairobi Kenya 

Reporting to: Director
Job Purpose Summary: The Administrative Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial and accounting services, while assisting in management of administrative tasks of the business.

Key tasks will include the following:
  • Assist with preparation of the financial budget.
  • Establish, maintain and reconcile the general ledger, petty cash and bank accounts.
  • Establish and maintain supplier accounts and process supplier invoices
  • Preparation of invoices
  • Preparation of Petty Cash vouchers
  • VAT calculation at month end
  • Processing of KRA documentation (returns / payments) when they are due
  • Reconciliation of bank statements
  • Preparation of key books of accounting
  • Entry of data into Quickbooks
  • Processing of import documents and forwarding to clearing agents.
  • Filing and some admin work
  • Preparation of financial statements and schedules
  • Completion of monthly close procedures
  • Front office administration and ensuring cleanliness is maintained at all times
  • Receiving calls and responding to customer emails and inquiries.
  • Offering administrative support
  • Office management as well as petty cash management
  • Maintaining both electronic and physical filling systems
  • Managing and maintaining of office equipment’s
  • Maintaining the bills payable account and ensuring that all bills are paid on time or before the deadline, electricity, telephone, internet etc
  • Job Requirements
    • Attention to details and high organizational skills
    • Minimum CPA II qualification
    • At least two years’ experience in similar position
