MANAGER - AUDIT - KENAO SCALE 5- (19 VACANCIES)

Monthly Salary: Kshs.117,686 to 143,048 plus other allowances ranging from Kshs. 57,995 to 75,995
Duties and Responsibilities
A Manager-Audit will be in charge of Audit of Accounts of various Ministries or Counties including other Public Entities in those Sectors/Counties. He/ She may also be deployed in Performance Audit, Forensic Audit, Clients IT Systems Audit or assigned any other duty or responsibility the Office may deem appropriate. He/she will be responsible for efficient and effective organization, co-ordination, control and supervision of the audit teams under
him/her, as well as staff development and discipline. He / She will also be responsible for ensuring the completeness and accuracy of all accounts, reports or other correspondences emanating from audit teams under him/her.
Requirements for Appointment
  • The applicant must have at least 10 years’ experience in Audit, three (3) of which must be at management level in a sizeable and similar organization and who must have:-
  • Shown outstanding competence in managing the audit function or other responsibilities at a senior level, matched with broad experience and knowledge of public sector financial management, policies and goals.
  • Demonstrated administrative capabilities and a high degree of competence in planning and managing the audit functions or other responsibilities in the relevant fields.
  • A Business related Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University.
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration or related field
  • A qualified accountant and a registered member of a relevant professional body.
  • Demonstrate competence in IT

Additional relevant expertise (e.g. Forensic, Performance Audit, Value for Money and IT systems Audit) will be an added advantage.
