Duties and Responsibilities
An Assistant Manager-Audit will head a team of Auditors responsible
for audit of Ministries or a number of Counties including, Public Entities in
those Ministries/Counties. He/ She may also be deployed in Performance Audit,
Forensic Audit, Clients IT Systems Audit or assigned any other duty or
responsibility the Office may deem appropriate. An Assistant Manager -
Audit will be responsible for the overall
supervision and operation of the Team, staff development and discipline. He/she
will also be responsible for the accuracy of accounts, reports or other
correspondence emanating from the Team.
Requirements for Appointment
- The applicant must have at least 8 years’ experience in Audit, three (3) of which must be at management level in a sizeable and similar organization and who must have:-
- Demonstrated administrative capabilities and a high degree of competence in planning and managing the audit functions or other responsibilities in the relevant fields.
- A Business related Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University.
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration or related field
- A qualified accountant.
- Demonstrate competence in IT
Additional relevant expertise (e.g. Forensic, Performance Audit, Value
for Money and IT systems Audit) will be an added advantage.
