Salary: 85K – 100K Gross plus medical insurance, free lunch and commissions upon reaching targets. Our client is a dominant cereal manufacturing company in Africa with the largest market share in the country. The company also imports a variety of products that are sold through distributors and major supermarkets.
They seek to hire a Receivables Accountant who will be responsible for cash management and debit/credit management.In addition, this position will be responsible for performing revenue analysis and processing of invoices. Candidates working in the FMCG industry are encouraged to apply
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely collection of monies due to the company.
- Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities
- Processing customer invoices (ensure pricing, quantities, items, customer discounts are correct), following up on customer payments and sending out monthly statements.
- Internal reporting on ageing and collection analysis of customer accounts
- Processing credit notes and analyzing sales data
- Conduct credit checks on all customer, establish and manage limits
- Visiting customer and create mutual business relationships
- Issuing cash sales and cash receipt on cash sales of goods and scrap sales
- Banking of all cheque & cash receipts
- Monthly VAT processing
- Bank reconciliations
- Maintains financial security by adhering to internal accounting controls.
- Maintains accounting ledgers by posting monthly account transactions.
- Liaising with bank on direct deposits from customers and clearing of payments
- Handling petty cash
- Processing payment of allowances through the mpesa system
- Analyzing data as required by management
- Participate in monthly stock takes
- Work towards achieving KPIs as set by the management
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Preferred CPA (K) finalist
- More than 3 Years experience in similar role
- Good Excel knowledge and accounting software such as QuickBooks, Patel etc.
- Preferably someone with an FMCG background
- Knowledge of ERP or SAP Systems
- Attention to detail, determined, focused and honest
- Punctual and meets strict deadlines
