HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER - MANUFACTURING

Our client, a well-established Plastic Manufacturing company in Nairobi is looking for a Human Resource manager. She / he will analyse, plan, and manage recruitment programs and the hiring process. The successful candidate MUST have a minimum of 5 years working in a manufacturing company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Help in developing and ensuring compensation and benefits are in line with the company policies.
• Help design and timely implementation of performance management systems, coordination with all concerned, analysis of scores, and preparation of working for directors’ approval.
• Ensure discipline for the factory as well as create motivation for all employees.
• Solve employee conflicts and improve HR administration.
• Promote equality and diversity as part of the organisation culture.
• Listen to grievances and implement disciplinary procedures.
• Advising on pay including employee benefits, promotion and other issues of remuneration.
• Undertake salary reviews and negotiate on issues regarding pay and conditions with staff and representatives.
• Advising management on career development, work matters, industrial matters and personal problems.
• Preparing advertisement and notices for vacant positions in the organisation.
• Provide advice and assistance to supervisors and staff.
• Provide information on training needs and opportunities, job descriptions, performance reviews and personnel policies of the organisation.
• Maintain leave schedules and calendars.
• Administering payroll and maintaining employee records.
• Any other related tasks as may be required at any time.

Qualifications:

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in human resource.
• A higher diploma in human resource management would be an added advantage.
• Strong leadership and motivational skills.
• Ability to maintain self-discipline within a stressful environment.
• Familiarity with best practices in Workplace Health and Safety and Environmental procedures.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Accountable and responsible.
• Must be able to provide management with clear and accurate reports written in English.
• Have knowledge and usage of computer program packages.

Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 60,000 - 80,000/= depending on experience
