Salary: 80 - 120k (inclusive of
transport and lunch)
Our Client, an audit firm based in
Nairobi is looking for a Temporary Internal Auditor/ Consultation/ Team Leader
for a duration of 2 weeks.
Main Duties:
- Assisting in preparation of audit programmes and carrying out routine audit within the company’s operations and activities;
- Recommending systems of internal controls and checks;
- Implementing the recommendations of the external auditors;
- Carrying out audit investigations, undertaking financial, operational and investigative audits;
- Assist in designing, developing and updating the internal audit manual detailing audit plans;
- Assist in preparing audit reports, queries and observations;
- Facilitating the periodic review of internal control systems to ensure their adequacy to prevent errors and irregularities;
- Carrying out a review of accounting, financial and budgetary systems;
- Ascertaining compliance with established, policies, plans, procedures and processes ;
- Reviewing and appraising the soundness, adequacy and application of accounting financial and other operating controls and promoting effective controls;
Academic/Professional Qualifications:
- Be in possession of Bachelor in Commerce or Business Administration (accounting / finance option) and CPA (K) with 2 years of relevant experience in a similar position or;
- CPA (K) or ACCA and/or a diploma in Cooperative Management or Cooperative Audit with 2 years relevant experience.
- Be in possession of CISA Certification
Additional Competencies:
- Must be working for an audit firm currently and be a qualified accountant.
- Must have at least 2 years of audit experience from an Audit firm.
- Should have experience, Be in position to present a presentation and conclude.
- Be a team leader.
The candidate should be well versed with
accounts as they will be expected to be in charge of the audit team and be
consulted in Auditing matters. They will be on a two week duration during which
