Uganda National Operations & Administration Director (Jobs in Kenya, October 2014)

Title: Uganda National Operations & Administration Director – Kampala, Uganda

Our client an International Textile Company, stable and successfully operating in European Countries dealing with second hand clothes is looking for an Operations & Administration Director. The successful candidate MUST be a Ugandan National who has strong knowledge in Uganda Legislation.


Key Responsibilities:
  • ·         Plan, implement and manage administrative, financial and operational functions, including human resources management.
  • ·         Coordinate with sales team and statements for the management.
  • ·         Control the budget and take care of costs saving.
  • ·         Manage cash flows, on time payment of suppliers, service providers and other financial obligations.
  • ·         Coordinate recruitment, employment and deployment process.
  • ·         Administrate staff and payroll, welfare and grievances, regulations and evaluation.
  • ·         Take care for brand registration issues, licenses and permissions, relation to authorities.
  • ·         Cooperate with outsource companies for legal and audit services.
  • ·         Prepare financial, tax, statistic and administrative reports and procedures, monthly reports and reports on ad hoc or routine basis as needed.
  • ·         Manage bank loans and corporate finance issues.
  • ·         Manage premises rental issues.
  • ·         Arrange internet, phone, and gasoline services.
  • ·         Lead, direct and mentor administrative and accounting staff.
  • ·         Administrate company‘s legal and secretarial matters.
  • ·         Create, maintain and update reports, documents and agreements.

Qualification:
  • ·  Must have a bachelor’s degree in Economics / Finance / Business   Administration.
  • ·    Must have knowledge of Uganda legislation.
  • ·    Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in managing a large team.
  • ·    Relevant job experience.

  • Fluency in English, and a local language.
  • Must be IT literate.
  • Must have a valid drives license.
  • High level of self-motivation.
  • Precision and commitment to results.
Monthly gross salary: Competitive remuneration depending on experience.
