Reports to: - Qualitative Director
Main Purpose of the Job
To provide research support to Client Services (Qualitative).
Key responsibilities
- Writing market research proposals (with appropriate training)
- Designing research approaches (with appropriate training)
- Attending and running focus groups and in-depth interviews (with appropriate training)
- Analysis of research outputs and writing reports (with appropriate training)
- MB expects all employees to adhere to the requirements of our quality management system which is certified to ISO20252
Minimum
Qualifications/Work Experience
- A university degree and/or business school degree
- Has ideally studied either Anthropology, Philosophy, Psychology and other social sciences
- Has ideally studied abroad
- Fluent in English and with Swahili. French will be an added advantage
Technical Competencies Required
- Experience working in an office environment
- Good computer literacy (e.g. Microsoft office)
- Possible work experience in a different country (client or agency side)
Personal/Behavioural Competencies
- A keen interest in business and brands (local and international)
- A natural fascination and curiosity with people & behaviours
- The ability to see behaviours and attitudes for what they are vs. judging and dismissing those which they do not like
- A flexibility and able to adapt to new surroundings/situations with ease
- Should be willing to travel across East Africa (regularly) and the rest of Africa
- Considers themselves to be thoughtful and intellectually curious
- Is likely to be interested in the arts, writing, theatre, drama, and other creative pursuits
- A love of reading and literature in general
- Engaged with social media
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
