CORPORATE AFFAIRS OFFICER (DIGITAL MEDIA) (JOBS AND VACANCIES IN KENYA SEPTEMBER 2013)

The Role
Reporting to the Group Head of Corporate Affairs, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the production of content for the entire digital media strategy, including social media platforms, websites and online publications.
Key Responsibilities
  • Implementing the social media strategy for KTDA
  • Designing and managing all the company’s digital platforms, including online publications and social media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Flickr, etc).
  • Developing and managing content for the company’s digital media platforms, including the websites.
  • Maintaining a consistent look and feel throughout the company’s websites
  • Copy-editing and proof-reading all web and digital media content
  • Working with Corporate Affairs team to integrate the Group’s activities with the digital media platforms, with respect to communication, customer relations, corporate events and marketing.
  • Developing the digital platforms as integral parts of the Group’s internal and external communication as well as forums for employee and customer feedback.
  • Tracking, reporting and giving feedback on site metrics
  • Designing corporate presentations to ensure brand consistency and quality.
  • Keeping current with emerging digital media technologies, deploying them as appropriate, and advising on the best use of online communications.
  • Providing editorial support to the communications team.

Qualifications /Competencies/Experience
  • The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications and competencies:
  • University degree with a bias in Journalism, Communication, Information Science or a related field
  • 3-5 years’ experience managing content and production for high-traffic websites
  • Proficiency in working with web-based content management systems and design applications, and image-editing software, Windows or Macintosh
