ASSISTANT PROGRAMME MANAGER – GOVERNANCE AND ADVOCACY

Duty Station: Marsabit
Duration: Two (2) Years

Concern Worldwide is a non-governmental, international humanitarian organization dedicated to the reduction of suffering and working towards the ultimate elimination of extreme poverty in the world’s poorest countries Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced Kenyan nationals for the following position:
Job Summary:
  • The incumbent will provide strategic and technical direction to Concern’s governance and advocacy programmes in Marsabit County.
Job Specification:
  • A Degree in Social Sciences preferably in Law, Political Science or Public Administration
  • At least 3 years’ experience in governance programing with a bias towards a Human Rights Based Approach to Development
  • Proven competency in programme cycle management and application of advocacy strategies to promote positive development outcomes.
  • Experience in drafting legal opinions and policy briefs is an added advantage
  • Strong knowledge of decentralized governance in general and specifically Kenya’s devolved structure
