FINANCE MANAGER (KENYAN JOBS AND JOBS IN KENYA NOVEMBER 2013)

Scope Of Work 
The Agricultural Market development Trust (AGMARK) is a not –for-profit Kenyan based organization whose mission is to promote smallholder productivity and incomes through access to inputs and markets. AGMARK implements multi donor projects and seeks to immediately appoint a Finance Manager who will be based in Nairobi.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 
The Finance Manager is a member of the AGMARK senior management team, responsible for the key financial management role of the institution. Under the supervision of the Managing Director, the Finance Manager will be responsible for the following tasks:
• Provide leadership to the Finance team.
• Responsible for the development, monitoring and controlling of project budgets.
• Ensuring that project activities, and expenditures comply with the policies and regulations of respective donors and AGMARK policies.
• Plan and manage the continuous development of financial management system and policies.
• Responsible for the timely preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual, project and financial statements.
• Prepare for project audits and lead project team through audit processes, respond to and implement audit inquiries, findings, recommendations and observations.
• Participate in training programs to ensure proper integration of project financial management practices with AGMARK organization-wide policies and procedures.

Qualifications required 
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from a recognized university.
• Holder of CPA (K) with not less than three years work experience with development agencies.
• Member of the Institution of Certified Public Accounts of Kenya.
• High level of computer literacy with sound knowledge of financial accounting software and spread sheet packages.
