Title: Brands Public Relations Manager
We are a blue chip Company, a leader in the broadcast media sector. Due to expansion and growth, the following position has arisen in our organization: Brands Public Relations Manager
Roles & Responsibilities:
- In partnership with Group Communications and Marketing Managers, develop and execute the long-term strategic public relations and messaging plan that will maintain and enhance the Brand’s image and support key business objectives.
- Identify key journalists in the media and proactively build positive relationships
- Organize, liaise and manage press relations for activities/functions through issuance of invites, releases, press kits, photographic coverage & creative execution of the activities/functions
- Write design and publish/broadcast write-ups, feature articles and briefs on key content or product activities to enhance the brand and image with appropriate publics.
- Manage media coverage of products/services launches, presentations etc.
- In liaison with marketing department, prepare business strategies. Provide business development support and through integrated marketing communications towards promotional events, partnerships and negotiations
- Provide advice on corporate branding, advertising and marketing initiatives.
- Develop comprehensive communications programmes to promote content and product brands and create communication links with various publics
- Identify key organizations and individuals for strategic brand partnerships
- Strategy Development and Program Planning
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English or Marketing degrees
- Experience promoting a multinational company in the region
- 3-5 years of communications experience (including very strong media relations, public relations) with a major Corporate national/multinational and/or PR agency with major Corporate clients
- Strong oral and written communications skills; strong editing skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Self-directed; highly motivated
- Creative thinker and problem solver
- Resilient, with the ability to work to tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure
- Strong Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
