Title: T24 Administrator Unix Systems Administrator  (2 Positions)
The Central Bank of Kenya hereby invites applications from suitably qualified, experienced and self-motivated candidates with proven track record to fill the following positions.
Job Content (duties & responsibilities)
  • Configuring, administering, and managing all T24 Core Banking environments – DEV, UAT, TEST and Production – and instances.
  • T24 Core Banking performance tuning and Application Process Optimization
  • Administering and managing the integration of T24 Core Banking Application with external middleware components – IBM WebSphere MQ, IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS), and Radware Load Balancers
  • COB (Close of Business issues) administration and troubleshooting including Year End, Month End, Daily COB Support and optimization.
  • Temenos T24 TCServer component installation, configuration and trouble shooting.
  • Internet Banking and Other Satellite Interfaces integration with TCserver communicating via TCP / Socket Base / JBase Agents / MQ.
  • Monitoring of All the T24 Critical Services including TSM Services.
  • Managing scheduled and Ad hoc T24 backups and keeping track of backups as per the retention policy.
  • Administering T24 Oracle Connectivity.
  • Coordination with Temenos on updates – patches, releases and fixes for the resolution of issues including real time and COB related.
  • Maintain primary and disaster recovery sites, creation, implementation and supervision of DR Plan, DR test scripts and DR Data integrity
Job Specifications (qualifications and experience)
  • Degree in Computer Science or technical related field.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in managing and administering Temenos T24 system.
  • Demonstrated in depth Java development experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding/knowledge of Linux/Unix Operating Systems.
  • Demonstrated experience working with middleware components – IBM WebSphere MQ and IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS)
  • Possess excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
