Title: IT Administrator

Reporting to the IT Manager, the IT Administrator will provide systems support to all users. S/he will perform revision, repair, or expansion of programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.
Duty Station: Nairobi, Kenya
Principle Accountabilities:
- Installing and configuring computer hardware, software applications, systems, printers, scanners, and more.
- Supporting existing WAN, LAN, WLAN and Pabx.
- Supporting roll-out of new applications and training of new users.
- Talking to clients and computer users to determine the nature of their problem.
- Investigating, diagnosing and responding to computer software and hardware faults.
- Perform system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources and software Applications.
- Create, change, and delete user accounts as per request.
- Perform backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media.
- Development of new software applications and maintenance of existing ones using existing development tools.
- Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
- Maintain operational, configuration and other set procedures.
- Manage stocks of equipment, consumables and other supplies.
Person Specification
- Bachelor’s Degree preferably IT/Computer Science.
- Microsoft and Cisco Certification an added advantage
- Diploma and other qualifications in Programming and support an added advantage
- Ability to work independently
- Passion for IT field and desire to grow him/herself
