Title: Ground Courier
Reports to: Ground courier team leader
Team: Ground operations
Job purpose: Handling delivery and pickup consignments in a safe, professional manner according to company service standards to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction through coordinating with the dispatcher and the express / domestic operations team leader / supervisor.
Key accountabilities
- Typical duties included are but not limited to:Pickups and deliveries
- Handle all allocated pickups and deliveries on timely manner to achieve high level of performance as per Aramex quality of service standards
- Inspect shipment(s) upon pick up at customer side to ensure ground operations policies and procedures are fulfilled.
- Ask customer to fill in the shipment’s waybill correctly to ensure all necessary information available
- For alerting process
- Check the picked up shipment packing and labeling based on ground operations policies & procedures
- To ensure the shipment is protected from any damage &/or loss.
- Update the standard pick up log sheet fully with the required information in order to arrange for smooth receiving process at the warehouse operation & to be used for history tracking purposes.
- Update the delivery run-sheet fully with the required information to enable the data entry team
- Updating the status of the shipment on system & to be used for history tracking purposes.
Operating environment
- Driving/Riding most of the time during working day.
- Using material handling equipment such as trolley.
- Physical labor upon delivery and collection processes (walking and driving under different weather conditions).
- Lifting shipments upon delivery and pick up where the maximum allowed weight to be lifted without using a material handling equipment is 20kg.

- Adhere to all related policies, procedures Client relations
- Report incidents and complaints to concerned customers team so that the team can take the necessary action to resolve the problem.
- Report competition activities to concerned team in order to help in benchmarking the company service level with other companies in similar service industry.
Basic/ job requirements
- High school, college diploma or junior college
- Good command of English language
- Local knowledge of areas and neighborhood
- Valid driving license
