Kenya Civil Aviation Authority is a State Corporation under the Ministry of
Transport, established under CAP 394 of the Laws of Kenya with a Vision “to be
a model of Excellence in Civil Aviation” and the mission is “to develop,
regulate and manage a safe, efficient and effective Civil Aviation System in
Kenya”.
The Authority is seeking to recruit qualified Kenyan citizens to fill the
following positions in the establishment: Manager, Corporate Planning Ref: CPL/01
Job Purpose:
To implement and monitor the processes that ensures
understanding, alignment and commitment to the Strategic Plan and the
Performance management.
Scope of work/duties/responsibilities
- Coordinate the processes leading to the development, review and approval of KCAA’s Strategic Plan;
- Drive the performance contracting process between the Board and the Government, the Director General and the Board, the Business Units Directors and the Director General to ensure alignment of activities and decisions with the Strategic Plan;
- Participate in, and monitor the performance evaluation of the Board and the DG;
- Advise the DG and functional managers on the development /amendment of policies and plans as required in accordance with the Strategic Plan
- Integrate various project implementations from various business units and operations to ensure coherence with strategy;
- Advise and propose systems/process improvements to service delivery;
- Evaluate and monitors projects in order to ensure the intended objectives are being achieved;
- Align corporate strategy with sector goals and national priorities;
- Develop the Corporate planning team to ensure medium/long term capability;
- Coordinate the ISO/quality management activities in the Authority
Qualifications
The successful candidates must possess the
following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Economics/Statistics and/ or Planning
- A postgraduate Diploma in Project Management, Safety, Economics or Statistics;
- A Master’s degree in economics or a related social sciences (such as Business Administration or Finance) from a recognized university
- At least five (5) years relevant experience at senior level in a related field

- Be computer literate and proficient in computer applications.

- Team player and with strong leadership skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Be analytical, innovative and strategic thinker
