SMEP Deposit Taking Microfinance Limited, a Christian based MFI regulated by the Central Bank of Kenya, invites applications from interested and suitably qualified candidates to fill the above position
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Paying and receiving cash and other cash transactions across the counter
- Input customer transactions in the Banking system
- Attend to customer inquiries across the counter
- To execute control on cash within the present guidelines of the DTM and also observing branch cash limits.
- In charge of Branch Cash Position, assume the role of Chief Cashier (Keyholder / Safe Combination holder)
- Maintenance of Cash position in all auxiliary Services – Mpesa
- Handle ATM cards ,pin mailers as required
- Ensure that procedures laid down in Operations Manual are followed and proper control is in place to avoid operational losses / risks.
- Act as custodian of Cash Safe in the Vault.
- Assist in branch admin duties and other activities as assigned by manager.
Qualifications and Experience:
- AKIB/ACIB/CPA 3 or equivalent qualification. (A Bachelors Degree in any Business related field will be an added advantage)
- Two years’ experience in a busy financial institution in the same capacity is mandatory
- Must be computer literate
- Be willing to work anywhere within the country
- Must be a committed Christian
- Must be below 30 years
Other Competencies:
The candidate should be keen to detail and possess strong analytical and monitoring skills.
Be highly motivated and display the ability to work with culturally diverse groups of people.
Must be honest, reliable and uphold integrity.
