ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE (KENYAN JOBS AND JOBS IN KENYA OCTOBER 2013)

Title: Account Executive

Our Client is a PR and Experiential Marketing Company currently recruiting an Account Executive. The role would be serve as the primary business contact for the client. Be  responsible for client satisfaction and is thus expected to consistently provide excellent customer service to accounts, as well as represent client needs and goals within the organization to ensure quality; build relationships with clients to encourage new and repeat business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Management and supervision
  • Overseeing successful implementation of projects as per plan.
  • Communicating the client’s goals and representing client’s interests to the team.
  • Working closely with the project team in order to maintain a continuous knowledge of project status and to identify potential issues and/or opportunities within or related to the project.
  • Team growth and empowerment.
  • Team monitoring/evaluation – performance vs. targets.
  • Take overall responsibility for the quality of the team’s work.
  • Responsibility for all client communications, conflict resolution, and compliance on client deliverables and revenue.
  • Route mapping/itineraries.

2. Client Satisfaction
  • Establishing and maintaining strong client relationships through regular close contact with client.
  • Providing regular two-way communication between the client and team, to provide strong team representation and set proper client expectations.
  • Ensure Client Satisfaction.
  • Pro-active resolution of client complaints.
  • Reviewing all major deliverables to ensure quality standards and client expectations are met.

3. Business Development    
  • Understanding of company capabilities and service, and effectively communicating all offerings to existing and potential clients.
  • Researching, exploiting, assessing and converting new business opportunities for account growth.
  • Identifying more opportunities within the existing clients

4. Reporting
  • Provide internal and external reports as required
  • Ensure attention to detail in all reporting deliverables
  • To send in all reports as may be required on project – to-project basis.

5. Competitor Analysis
  • Advise client frequently on market conditions and communicate competitive information
  • Prepare market intelligence reports
  • Combat competition appropriately.

Minimum Educational & Professional qualifications required
  • Degree in Marketing, Business Management or other relevant discipline/ Diploma holders with the relevant experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of Account/project management experience especially in Public Relations.
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office: including thorough knowledge of MS Excel worksheets and PowerPoint for presentations

  • A hands-on approach to problem solving; identifying issues and using initiative and available resources to generate recommendations

  • Ability to plan and carry out responsibilities with minimal direction in a fast-paced environment.
