Title: Channel Account Manager
Summary:
Our Client a world leader in imaging products and solutions for
the digital home and office and has been represented in the East Africa Region
for more than 40 years through distributors and partners that have successfully
built a solid customer base and significant market share in the region. To
Support this Growth further our client is looking to hire a Channel Account
Manager -East Africa
Job Purpose:
As the Company’s representative you will be responsible for the
sales function in the East Africa Region. You will be responsible for
identifying channel partners, establishing and
maintaining business relationships which maximize on
opportunities available at each channel. You will be responsible for setting
market activity budgets, planning and implementing Channel and Account activity
based on product/Area Strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Effectively manage distributors through regular and effective marketing activities to enhance the company’s brand Image with a positive business impact on the channel’s contribution and sales for the company.
- Analyze current channel and account situation and make short/Mid-term channel and account strategies
- Contribute to the East African’s growth objectives by analyzing growth trends, maintain, Track and report all market related information about the company and competitors.
- Analyze market situations in channel and accounts, product and use the analysis as the basis to formulate local channel / account strategy with relevant business partners
- Formulate plans for individual accounts in the channel through account strategy for the all product groups of the business in line with overall channel development strategy
- Plan and spend the marketing budget effectively and efficiently to maximize return on Investment per account with clear accountability and evaluation tools.
- Prepare and present annual channel and account plans internally and externally, in line with turnover and budget guidelines in order to stimulate brand awareness and sales achievement.
- Monitor and review account wise monthly sales performance for total and individual product groups and area performance to ensure smooth sales movements in line with the agreed sales plan.
- Negotiate with accounts based on the proper market information and competitor’s in-formation to maximize company’s activities at the account and the channel as a total.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience
- Bachelors Degree in a relevant field from a recognized university.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar International or Regional Sales role. Experience in a similar company, national distributor or trading company is an added ad-vantage
- Background and knowledge of market environments
- Fluency in written and spoken English. Fluency in Arabic will be an added advantage
- High level of written and spoken communications
- High level of Professionalism appearance, attitude and communication
