DIRECTOR OF IT AUDITING - KENAO SCALE 3- (1 VACANCY)

Monthly Salary: Kshs.146, 100 to 185,827 plus other allowances ranging from Kshs.137,290 to 145,290
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Direct and lead Information Technology audits of the KENAO Clients Information Technology infrastructure and business applications in accordance with the KENAO Risk Based Audit Methodology.
  • Function as an IT subject matter expert in support of IT audits.
  • Work closely with his/her team to perform periodic and annual IT Risk Assessments and ensure audit plan remains current and risk based throughout the audit year.
  • Plan, Direct, coordinate, and manage the execution of IT audits in the areas of: Program Change Management, Network Infrastructure, General IT Controls, System Development Life Cycle, Application Conversions and various other IT Audit engagements by performing control design analysis, and testing operating effectiveness of key IT controls.
  • Work with Operational Auditors to develop and perform integrated audits of key business processes and the underlying information systems.
  • Direct IT audit teams in developing audit reports, which clearly articulate risks (both technology and business), noted exceptions, impact on the client’s internal controls and clear solution based recommendations.

Requirement for appointment
  • The applicant must have at least 15 years’ experience in IT Audit, five (5) of which must be at a senior management level in a sizeable and similar organization and who must have:-
  • Shown outstanding competence in managing the audit function or other responsibilities at a senior level, matched with broad experience and knowledge of public sector financial management, policies and goals.
  • Demonstrated a high degree of administrative capability required for the responsibilities at the level of Director of Audit.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in related field of study (e.g. Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, and Computer Science) from a recognized University.
  • Master’s Degree from recognized University
  • A qualified accountant and a registered member of a relevant professional body.
  • CISA certification.
