Events Coordinator
Corporate Staffing Services is a leading HR firm offering recruitment services. We seek to recruit a suitable professional with significant hands on experience to develop and deliver a range of events such as training/information seminars, conferences, publicity events, dinners and luncheons.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and facilitating events and training sessions that align with the business’s strategic initiatives. The successful candidate must be hands on and skilled at handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Specific Events Coordinator duties and responsibilities
- Coming up with a monthly events calendar.
- Propose ideas, and formulate key strategies for successful events.
- You will be responsible for scheduling, designing and facilitating training classes as well as creating training manuals and materials to accompany these sessions.
- To identify and book locations for the events, liaise with location management for booking, catering and logistical arrangements
- Liaise between project planners and the communications and marketing team for the timely production and circulation of flyers and other information relating to event publicity, such as other organizations’ websites, appropriate mailing lists and the media
- Contribute actively to decisions on marketing events; compiling databases of likely interest, drafting and circulating emails and telephoning individuals.
- Find sponsorship and exhibitors for conferences and other events
- Compile and send out speaker and delegate information
- Assemble and arrange delivery of delegate packs, name badges and exhibition stand and material as appropriate
- Manage the event on the day, including setting up, instructing external contractors and internal staff assistance
- Securing and booking a suitable venue
- Booking and coordinating the transport, venue management, caterers and any other contractors
- Finding solutions to any problems that may arise concerning the coordination and management of the network meeting
- Any other duty called upon to serve from time to time.
Desired Events Coordinator Skills & Qualifications
- Preference will be given to candidates who have: at least one year experience in event management and conferences.
- Must be between the ages of 24 and 30 years;
- Must be experienced in using social media and other varied communications channels for the purpose of promoting events.
- Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills with proficiency in English;
- Must be a team player with the ability to work with others to achieve high goals in a fast paced and high pressured environment;
- Must be a self-starter with ambition who can work independently and handle multiple priorities and deadlines;
- Must possess good negotiation skills, presentation, leadership and an innovative mind.
