The Job
Schindler Kenya is looking to hire a Service Leader, Who will be accountable for Existing Installations (EI) -Service and Repair- and Modernisation (MOD) Projects/business activities in accordance with the strategies and policies of Schindler. In this role, you will manage the EI/MOD business to achieve the set targets by delivering the adequate strategy, products, processes and tools to the branches on agreement with the Field Operation Manager. The EI/MOD Service Leader has the EI and MOD profit and loss responsibility and is accountable for EI and MOD Methods & Processes.

Key Sales Job Responsibilities:

  • Define overall EI/MOD Marketing & Sales Strategy, including Sales Budget guidelines, pricing and activities in the Kenya markets, ensuring the external communication and image, in accordance with the Corporate Guidelines
  • Anticipate and evaluate the sales and marketing risks to achieve the strategic plan and apply contingency alternatives.
  • Launch new MOD products ensuring that all required processes, tools, etc. are implemented.
  • Partner with Technical & Field Support Director to agree on the product and service requirements in terms of quality, reliability and cost of material and installation.
  • Partner with Field Operations to execute sales with a price strategy that ensures achievement of set targets.
  • Establish MOD efficiency budget guidelines and targets in alignment with the country strategy.
  • Manage Fulfilment and EI/MOD Methods & Processes to grant top quality and cost effective installations.
  • Responsible for the completeness and the quality of EI/MOD Customer & Contact data for Kenya in line with the Customer Data Management guidelines.
  • Maintain and eventually update EI/MOD sales and marketing processes and tools at country Level, following region guidelines, keeping the harmonization principles.
  • Collect and escalate local EI/MOD market needs proposing actions to Schindler Group in terms of products, services, processes and tools.
  • Conduct Operational analysis against set plans and in case of deviations, establish corrective actions to close the gaps in agreement with the Management Team and Regional Heads.

Who We Are Looking For!

  • Bachelors’ degree in sales, marketing, business, economics or engineering.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in business development in a comparable role dealing with a technical product.
  • Experience in the Elevator/escalator or construction industry is an added advantage.
  • Excellent skills in Account planning, customer management models, budgeting and reporting
  • Knowledge, skills and experience in prospecting, qualifying, structuring, negotiating, and closing partnership deals.
