General Manager

Our client, a Courier company that provides same - day delivery services is looking to recruit a General Manager. The ideal candidate MUST have experience in operations and logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Increase management's effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training and counseling.
• Developing incentives by developing a climate for offering information and educational opportunities.
• Develop strategic plan by studying technological and financial opportunities.
• Presenting strategic plan findings and recommending direction.
• Coordinate efforts by establishing and ensuring enforcement of procurement, production & marketing.
• Build company image by collaborating with customers, government, community organizations, & employees.
• Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Ensure that the company is compliant with all legal requirements such as licensing & registrations.
• Ensure that the company’s assets such as machines, accessories and vehicles, are adequately safeguarded from loss & misuse.
• Develop accurate and aggressive long and short-range financial objectives.
• Oversee and supervise all the activities of the company.
• Oversee and ensure high safety standards at all times.

Qualification:

• Should possess an undergraduate degree in a business related field.
• Holders of postgraduate / MBAs are preferred.
• Must have at least 8 years’ experience in a senior managerial position.
• Must have worked for a reputable local / regional organization in a similar or at least a managerial position.
• They must also have a high quality and successful record of achievement, and years of experience.

Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 150,000 -  180,000/= (Approx. 1,600 - 2,000 USD) depending on experience
