CARE is an organization driven by its mission to overcome poverty and social injustice. The CARE ECSA Regional Office is responsible for the oversight of CARE’s operations in the region as well as the provision of support to Country Offices. We work with 16 Country Offices in the region. We are seeking competent, innovative, self-driven and passionate individual who will be flexible and able to travel extensively within the region to fill the Field Security Officer position based in Nairobi with frequent travel to other COs within the region.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree with specialist technical training in safety and security management with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in security, preferably in NGO sector or development organization in safety and security program.
Experience working outside country of residence in safety and security context working with same or other NGO agencies is required. The ideal candidate will also need solid technical skills in information collection, investigations, analysis, assessments and reporting.
